OUR TECHNIQUE
We build boats using both the traditional Plank on Frame method and a more modern technique called the glued lap method. These days most of our boats are the more modern glued lap construction resulting in a light weight and rugged boat – the new modern wooden boat. We do still build traditional plank on frame boats, steaming and bending ribs, riveting, the smell of cedar. It is a very satisfying process which yields a more traditional, classic wooden boat.
